***Continued.....Ambassador DUTIES in Song

It was just last week that my Mother and I were in the Supermarket when the man in line right in front of us could not buy the two items he had (a box of crackers and a bag of chips) because he did not have enough money.

I froze in the moment knowing what I needed to do but stood there in a daze with hurt for the man and captivated thoughts wondering how the man felt, if he really needed these things and should I offer to pay for them........as he walked away, my Mother kept saying Favor, pay for the items, Favor  you can pay for it, Favor.....but for some reason I was frozen, I eventually awakened from my fear and thoughts, responded okay to my Mom and asked the cashier how much his items came up to and told her I would pay for them while my mother ran after the man trying to get his attention.

We picked up the tab and the man thanked us graciously. I was terribly disappointed in myself nonetheless for delaying my response. I was sad in my heart knowing that I could and should have responded without delay. I kept saying in my heart, Lord please forgive me, God I'm so sorry.

Let us work on awakening our responses to move quickly to help when the opportunity presents it's self to us.

Today, we continue to sing about our duties and responsibilities as Kingdom Ambassadors.

If I Can Help Somebody

If I can help somebody as I travel along
If I can help somebody in a word or a song
If I can help somebody from doing wrong
then  my living shall not be in vain

No, my living shall not be in vain
No, my living shall not be in vain...

Make Me a Servant
Make me a servant
Humble and meek

Lord let me lift up
Those who are weak

And may the prayer
Of my heart always be

Make me a servant
Make me a servant
Make me a servant today...

Go Light Your World
There is a candle in every soul
Some brightly burning, some dark and cold
There is a spirit who brings a fire
Ignites a candle and makes His home
So carry your candle, run to the darkness
Seek out the hopeless, confused and torn

Hold out your candle for all to see it
Take your candle and go light your world
Take your candle and go light your world

Frustrated brother, see how he's tried to
Light his own candle some other way

See now your sister, she's been robbed and lied to
Still holds a candle without a flame

So carry your candle, run to the darkness
Seek out the lonely, the tired and worn...

Singing about our Ambassador DUTIES

Music has a way to penetrate our hearts in such a way that stimulates our emotions and motivates our actions.

The ability to compose music  with a combination of lyrics, melody, harmony, with unique musical instrument accompaniment is a beautiful gift that we were given by our Creator.

Today, lets listen to these songs that reinforces and awaken our consciousness about our duties as Kingdom Ambassadors:

We Are the World
There comes a time when we hear a certain call
When the world must come together as one
There are people dying
And its time to lend a hand to life
The greatest gift of all

We can't go on pretending day by day
That someone, somewhere will soon make a change
We are all a part of God's great big family
And the truth, you know,
Love is all we need

~Chorus~
We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So lets start giving
There's a choice we're making
We're saving our own lives
Its true we'll make a better day
Just you and me

Send them your heart so they'll know that someone cares
And their lives will be stronger and free
As God has shown us by turning stones to bread
So we all must lend a helping hand...
Lionel Ritchie and Company

Lean on Me
This is for that little child with no father
For that man that doesn't have a place to stay
For that little boy living with AIDS
Can I tell you a story, tell you a story
You can lean on me

There's a man
Standing on the corner
He has no home
He has no food
And his blue skies are gone (yes it is)
Can't you hear him cryin' out

And there's a girl
Searching for a father and a friend
Praying that the storm someday will end

But instead of walking away
Open up your heart and say

I am here
You don't have to worry
I'll be there in a hurry when you call...
Kirk Franklyn and Company

We Will Stand
Sometimes it's hard for me to understand
Why we pull away from each other so easily
Even though we're all walking the same road
Yet we build dividing walls between
Our brothers and ourselves

But I, I don't care what label you may wear
if you believe in Jesus you belong with me
The bond we share is all I care to see
And we can change this world forever
if you will join with me
Join and sing, sing

You're my brother, you're my sister
So take me by the hand
Together we will work until He comes
There's no foe that can defeat us
When we're walking side by side
As long as there is love
We will stand

The day will come when we will be as one
And with a mighty voice together
We will proclaim that Jesus
Jesus is King
And it will echo through the earth
It will shake the nations
And the world will see
See that

You're my brother, you're my sister
So take me by the hand...

Hello Friends!

A position description is generally a formal document that summarizes the important functions of a specific job, using clear and concise language. It is designed to  accurately represent actual duties and responsibilities.

Position descriptions are the documents on which employers bases position postings, job interviews, and performance appraisals.

Kingdom Ambassador Position Description

The Kingdom Ambassador position is a Volunteer position with an Outstanding benefits package.

There is a great irony here: proclaiming so much love, experiencing so much hate! But don’t quit. Don’t cave in. It is all well worth it in the end. It is not success you are after in such times but survival. Be survivors! Before you’ve run out of options, the Son of Man will have arrived. Matthew 10:21-23 (MSG)

My sacrifice [the sacrifice acceptable] to God is a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart [broken down with sorrow for sin and humbly and thoroughly penitent], such, O God, You will not despise. Psalms 51:17 (AMP)

Kingdom Ambassador~JOB DESCRIPTION

So far in our Kingdom Ambassador Orientation, we have:

1. Acknowledged our Kingdom Anthems as protocol
2. Reviewed the Kingdom Benefits Package
3. Honored our King in Song
4. Presented the Kingdom Mission/Vision and Operating Guidelines
5. Daydreamed Meditated Acknowledged our Kingdom Home in song.

At this time we will be transitioning to review the details contained in the Kingdom Ambassador job description.

The Chief Leader (President/Prime Minister) of Independent Countries such as the United States of America, Great Britain, Jamaica, Canada for example, appoint an Ambassador to represent their Government and President while living in another Country.

The Ambassador has the authority to act, speak and make decisions on behalf of their Country and President and advocate for the special interests of their Government. In other words, an Ambassador represents the President living in a foreign County.

KINGDOM AMBASSADOR

2 Corinthians 5:19-20(CEB)  In other words, God was reconciling the world to himself through Christ, by not counting people’s sins against them. He has trusted us with this message of reconciliation.

20 So we are Ambassadors who represent Christ. God is negotiating with you through us. We beg you as Christ’s representatives, “Be reconciled to God!”

As Kingdom Ambassadors our primary duty is to represent Christ.  Our lives,  purpose is to represent our King's special interests by our actions, and make decisions that represent the Kingdom of God.

**Personal disclosure: I Highly Favored, have not always performed these duties at full capacity and have not represent the Kingdom well in all circumstances and situations.

I invite you to participate with me as we review and understand our Job Descriptions as Ambassadors in training over the next several posts and do our best to reconcile our responsibilities, actions and attitudes to line up with God.

Singing About my KINGDOM HOME

2 Corinthians 5:1-10 The Message (MSG)

5 1-5 For instance, we know that when these bodies of ours are taken down like tents and folded away, they will be replaced by resurrection bodies in heaven—God-made, not handmade—and we’ll never have to relocate our “tents” again. Sometimes we can hardly wait to move—and so we cry out in frustration. Compared to what’s coming, living conditions around here seem like a stopover in an unfurnished shack, and we’re tired of it! We’ve been given a glimpse of the real thing, our true home, our resurrection bodies! The Spirit of God whets our appetite by giving us a taste of what’s ahead. He puts a little of heaven in our hearts so that we’ll never settle for less.

6-8 That’s why we live with such good cheer. You won’t see us drooping our heads or dragging our feet! Cramped conditions here don’t get us down. They only remind us of the spacious living conditions ahead. It’s what we trust in but don’t yet see that keeps us going. Do you suppose a few ruts in the road or rocks in the path are going to stop us? When the time comes, we’ll be plenty ready to exchange exile for homecoming.

9-10 But neither exile nor homecoming is the main thing. Cheerfully pleasing God is the main thing, and that’s what we aim to do, regardless of our conditions. Sooner or later we’ll all have to face God, regardless of our conditions. We will appear before Christ and take what’s coming to us as a result of our actions, either good or bad.

Kingdom POLICIES & GUIDELINES

Greetings Friends!  This week, in our Kingdom Ambassador Orientation , we will be reviewing our Kingdom's Policies and Operating Guidelines.

Have you ever worked for a Company/Business that did not have operating policies, procedures, guidelines, core principles, a mission and a vision?

Whether or not they were clearly communicated, implemented, monitored and/or evaluated is another story; but I venture to say every business Enterprise has a general Mission (purpose for existence) and a general Vision (how that purpose will be achieved).

It's no different with the Kingdom.  Let us review and examine our Kingdom's Mission, Vision, core Policies and Operating Procedures.  Having this knowledge allows us to align our purpose and actions so that we are on target with Kingdom expectations.

Let's take a look at the Kingdom Handbook Bible to review The Kingdom Mission, Vision, Policies, Operating Procedures and Guidelines.

Kingdom Mission:

Genesis 1:26-27 Expanded Bible (EXB)
26 Then God said,
  • “Let us make human beings in our image and likeness.
  • And let them rule [have dominion] over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky [heavens], over the tame animals [beasts; livestock], over all the earth, and over all the small crawling animals on the earth.”

27 So God created human beings [man; human beings, humankind, person, man] in his image [reflecting God’s nature/character and representing him in the world]. In the image of God he created them. He created them male and female.

 Kingdom Vision:

Genesis 1:28 Expanded Bible (EXB)
28 God blessed them and said [to them],
  • “Have many children and grow in number [Be fruitful and multiply].
  • Fill the earth and be its master [subdue it].
  • Rule [Have dominion] over the fish in the sea and over the birds in the sky [heavens] and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

* Please note we are God's representation on earth (see verse 27) . That is why we were created in His likeness (nature/character/rulership).

*Also note, we were not created to have dominion/rulership over each other. That was not the original vision/plan (see verse 28 3rd bullet).

Kingdom Policies:

  1. Matthew 22:37-38 (NIV)  Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.
Operating Guidelines:  Exodus 20:3-11 The Message (MSG)
      1. No other gods, only me [The King].
      2. No carved gods of any size, shape, or form of anything whatever, whether of things that fly or walk or swi Don’t bow down to them and don’t serve them because I am God, your God, and I’m a most jealous God, punishing the children for any sins their parents pass on to them to the third, and yes, even to the fourth generation of those who hate me. But I’m unswervingly loyal to the thousands who love me and keep my commandments.
      3. No using the name of God, your God, in curses or silly banter. God won’t put up with the irreverent use of his name.
      4. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Work six days and do everything you need to do. But the seventh day is a Sabbath to God, your God. Don’t do any work—not you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your servant, nor your maid, nor your animals, not even the foreign guest visiting in your town. For in six days God made Heaven, Earth, and sea, and everything in them; he rested on the seventh day. Therefore God blessed the Sabbath day; he set it apart as a holy day.
      5. Honor your father and mother so that you’ll live a long time in the land that God, your God, is giving you.

     2. Matthew 22:39 (NIV) And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor    as  yourself.

Operating Guidelines: Exodus 20:12-17The Message (MSG)
      1. No murder.
      2. No adultery.
      3. No stealing.
      4. No lies about your neighbor.
      5. No lusting after your neighbor’s house—or wife or servant or maid or ox or donkey. Don’t set your heart on anything that is your neighbor’s.
