Singing LOVE Songs

Matthew 22:37 Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment.

I lift my hands in total adoration unto you
You reign on the throne
For you are God and God alone
Because of you my cloudy days are gone
I can sing to you this song
I just want to say that I love you more than anything

love you Jesus
I worship and adore you
Just want to tell you
Lord I love you more than anything...
Lamar Campbell

1John 4:19 We Love Him because He first Loved us.

I Love the Lord
He heard my Cry
And pity every groan

Long as I live and troubles rise
I'll hasten to His throne...
Whitney Houston

1 John 4: 16 And we have known and believed the Love that God has for us. God is Love, and he who abides in Love abides in God, and God in him.

I really Love the Lord
I really Love the Lord
You don't know what He's done for me
Gave me the victory

I Love Him
I Love Him
I really love the Lord...
Charles Nicks Jr. & The St. James Choir

1 John 4:7-8  Beloved, let us Love one another, for Love is of God; and everyone who Loves is born of God and knows God.   He who does not Love does not know God, for God is Love.

 Father
Help Your children
And don't let them fall
By the side of the road

And teach them
To love one another
That Heaven might find
A place in their hearts

'Cause Jesus is love
He won't let you down
And I know He's mine forever
Oh, in my heart...
Lionel Ritchie/Commadores

1 John 4 20-21:  If someone says, “I Love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he Love God whom he has not seen?  And this commandment we have from Him: that he who Loves God must love his brother also.

Paitent love, kind love, sweet love, kind love
Paitent love, kind love, sweet love, kind love

Love a word that comes and goes

But few people really know
What it means to really love somebody

Love, though the tears may fade away
I'm so glad your love will stay
'Cause I love you, and you show me, Jesus
What it really means to love...

1 Corinthians 13 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

I need you
You need me
We're all a part of God's body
Stand with me
Agree with me
We're all a part of God's body
It is his will that every need be supplied
You are important to me
I need you to survive

I pray for you
You pray for me
I love you
I need you to survive

I won't harm you
With words from my mouth
I love you
I need you to survive...

Hezekiah Walker and the Love Fellowship Choir

Matthew 22:39  And the second is like it: ‘You shall Love your neighbor as yourself.

This is for that little child with no father
For that man that doesn't have a place to stay
For that little boy living with AIDS
Can I tell you a story, tell you a story

 You can lean on me

There's a man
Standing on the corner
He has no home
He has no food
And his blue skies are gone
Can't you hear him cryin' out...

Dreaming Again

What do you do when a desire dream is elusive? I've had a specific dream for some time that appears so elusive.  I've been discouraged, hopeful, discouraged again, hopeful once more, annoyed, confused, withdrawn, fearful, optimistic and the cycle of emotions continue to rotate.

I heard a message this week at church once more on Faith, and was reminded that... without faith it is impossible to please [God], for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him Hebrews 11:6.

God it is my desire to please you. I know that I am not right all the time and my actions and attitude are not always right. But I'm even more thankful that you look beyond my actions and attitude and know that my heart/mind/soul desires is to love you, live for you and please you. I've been discouraged yet somehow hopeful that you will bring to pass this dream. I trust that you have already established it, perfected it and is bringing it to pass. I believe my testimony and account will be to your Names Honor and Glory and Praise. I believe your word that there is no good thing that you will withhold from those who walk confidently with you.  Lord you have been blessing me beyond measure, you have been protecting me like a treasure, you have been sustaining me like a tower; God let your glory reign in my life and in the desires of my heart. Thank you FOREVER........In the Mighty Name of Jesus I pray Amen.

Consider the Cost - $666$

Technology has played a vital role in modernizing the the world we live in today.  Modern computerized technology allows transactions to get processed quicker and communication transmitted with speed.  Tablets and phones with various apps and Internet access entertains and arrests the attention of doting owners.

There is great anticipation among some consumers for the latest release of a digital device that has 6 letters in it's brand name.  Can you guess which one?  The IPhone6 promises a total of 6 improvements/features (points below taken from the website advert):

  1. Bigger/Better
  2. Larger/Thinner
  3. More Powerful
  4. Power efficient
  5. Smooth Metal Surface
  6. Retina HD Display
These new features makes lives easy for some and to others bring temporary pleasure, companionship and entertainment; Have you ever considered the cost?

It is reported that people in the Democratic Republic of Congo are virtually enslaved to mine columbite–tantalite coltan by militia. Coltan is a necessary ingredient in modern laptops and smart phones.

The on going years of civil war which includes the death of over 5 million people , wide spread rape, human rights abuse amongst other evils in Congo is rooted in the desire for control of the mine fields and human slaves and money. The money raised by rebels selling these minerals to multinationals is used to fund this unending civil war and purchase weapons.

Below is a video for your enlightenment on this situation.

Conflict Minerals 101

You may say, this is a really bad and sad situation but that's not my problem.  I'll share this excerpt with you from an article by a photo journalist Michael Brown...

"In Congo, the effects of the mineral trade on every person’s life—even the lives of people who aren’t working at the mines—are palpable. At a Heal Africa clinic in Goma, I met an emaciated teenage girl who had been gang-raped by three Hutu militiamen allegedly funded by profits from the mines. I’m not advocating giving up our gadgets. The causes of problems in Congo are far more complex. There are industry sponsored programs like Solutions for Hope, which tries to monitor coltan. But auditing the origins of these minerals is complicated by inaccessibility and danger. I’d like people to pause when they look at these photographs, taking time to think about where the material for modern technology comes from—and what lives are affected before they get into the phones in our hands."

See You at Sunrise Brother Sam

Brother Sam, you have been a special friend to us for many years.  At 91 you were still very sharp in mind, and will. I will always appreciate your visits to us, your recounts of your life experiences and I always marvel at how God raised you up and sustained you and by extension your family with favor.

Your sunset has come and I am not sad.  I am going to miss you but I remember you telling my Mom recently that you were at peace with God and anytime He is ready for you, you are ready.  That statement made our hearts glad and at ease.

On your bed of affliction these past few weeks you never failed to say thanks for anything that was done for you. Even when you were weak. Brother Sam, over the years, your friendliness, hospitality and personality has served you well. The outpouring of love and numerous visits and personalized care you received outside of the hospital staff is a witness to the kind of person you were and how you were loved by many.

There is no doubt that we will meet again in the earth made new.  I look forward to that day in Heaven when we will embrace, rejoice, embrace again and praise God.

Papa Sam!!!! See you in the Morning at Sunrise.

OH WHAT A SUNRISE

God gives life and He takes it away
He is the Potter and [we] are the clay
When [we] view the last sunset and cross over the sea
[we]know the sunrise will be waiting for [us]

Oh what a sunrise it’s going to be
Death will lose its sting, the grave its victory
The silence will be broken
The storm clouds rolled away
I hear the saints and angels singing
On our homecoming day

Time will come for the last goodbye
There’s a smile though tears dim the eye
Death will take us, but only to sleep
In the arms of our  Savior so sweet...

OH WHAT A SUNRISE

Singing Praises to the Lamb

Isaiah 53:5-7  But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,And by His stripes we are healed.

6 All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth;
He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
So He opened not His mouth.

Thank you for the cross, Lord
Thank you for the price you paid
Bearing all my sin and shame, in love you came
And gave Amazing Grace

Thank you for this love, Lord
Thank you for the nail-pierced hands
Wash me in Your cleansing flow, now all I know
Your forgiveness and embrace
Worthy is the Lamb...

Revelation 5:11-12  Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands,  saying with a loud voice: “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain To receive power and riches and wisdom,
And strength and honor and glory and blessing!”

Alleluia, Alleluia
For the Lord God Almighty reigns

You are Holy, Holy
Are You Lord God Almighty
Worthy is the Lamb
    Worthy is the Lamb...

John 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

Now behold the Lamb
The Precious Lamb of God
Born into sin that I may live again
The Precious Lamb of God

Holy is the Lamb
The Precious Lamb of God

Why You love me so, Lord
I shall never know
The Precious lamb of God ...

Singing Praises to the Name

Philippians 2:10-11
Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

No sweeter name than the name of Jesus
No sweeter name have I ever known

You are the life to my heart and my soul
You are the light to the darkness around me
You are the hope to the hopeless and broken
You are the only truth and the way, the truth and the way

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus...

Acts 4:12
12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

That Name
There is a name that is so precious,
A name so wonderful to me.
This name is worthy of all praises.
Because of him, I am made free.

That name is Jesus, oh how I love him.
The one who gave, his life for me.
Because of love, so unconditional,
I will have life, eternally.

This name speaks peace, unto my storm clouds,
This name speaks calm, to my fears.
And when I feel, that no one loves me.
His loving presence is so near.

That name is Jesus, oh how I love him.
The one who gave, his life for me.
Because of love, so unconditional,
I will have life, eternally.
Praise that name!
Praise that name!...

Romans 10:13
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Something about the name Jesus
Something about the name Jesus
It is the sweetest name I know

Oh, how I love the name Jesus
Oh, how I love the name Jesus
It is the sweetest name I know

Some people say I'm crazy
But I can't explain
The power that I feel when,
When I call Your name

Said it's just like fire
Shot up in my bones
The Holy Ghost is movin', yes, it is
And it just won't leave me alone...

 Acts 10:43
43 To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins.”
Jesus, Jesus
At the mention of Your name
Every knee will bow and tongue proclaim

That Jesus, Jesus
You are Savior, You are Lord
And You are God...

Festival of Praise Concert

Last night I attended a Festival of Praise Concert featuring Donnie McClurkin and Fred Hammond.

I was blessed not only by the ministry of music but by the recent powerful testimonies of these men.  We had not seen Donnie McClurkin  in person concert before, but always enjoyed him on TV. When he came on stage my mom commented on how he looked so thin.  Would you know that he testified how he was recently diagnosed with diabetes AND that in August (a few months ago) he had cancerous cells in his throat that was discovered and removed just before they got to his vocal cords!! My God, My God.... I say Thank You Jesus!!!  Donnie did not hold back on his praise and the flow of the spirit working through him in song and ministry is tangible, its authentic, its genuine and it moves you every time.  Praise God. May God strengthen Pastor Donnie, heal and deliver him in Jesus Name.

Fred Hammond Shared that in January 2014 he had double knee surgery. His knees where so bad even his doctor told him he never saw such a case in all his years of Specialization.  He told us about the excruciating recovery period and how he fell into depression and felt far away from God. But today, the Joy of the Lord IS his strength and He did a few dance moves Glorifying God for where He brought him from.

This concert was a blessing and May God protect and bless them while on this mission tour.

Affirmation in 3Dimensions

This morning I've been receiving words of affirmation from left and right; up and down.  The first was an E-mail to me that included several Managers thanking me for something I did yesterday.  After I responded and said "You're welcome" One of the Managers wrote my last name  Favor rules!!!, My Manager chimed in to confirm that she does rule with a little humor chimed in.

A little after that I got a phone call from a colleague in a different Division, who  called just to tell me how "STUNNING" I looked at a function we had at work yesterday.  Other words used were blown away, beautiful.

A few moments after that I got a text message from a potential suitor saying " enjoy this day...let the sun sine on you today."

Lord you know how much I needed to be encouraged and re affirmed today. Thank you for your spirit of light that illuminates around me so that others see your beauty radiating through me.  Thank you for your spirit of patience and diligence that allows me to go beyond myself even when annoyed to provide excellent service and be a resource to those around me.  Thank you for your blessings and words that affirm what you already told me and what you are teaching me.  I appreciate you and I continue to surrender all to you. Not my will Lord, but yours be done in my life, In Jesus name I pray Amen.
