Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
O what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
born of his Spirit, washed in his blood.

This is my story, this is my song,
praising my Savior all the day long;
this is my story, this is my song,
praising my Savior all the day long.
Perfect submission, perfect delight,
visions of rapture now burst on my sight;
angels descending bring from above
echoes of mercy, whispers of love.
praising my Savior all the day long;
this is my story, this is my song,
praising my Savior all the day long.
Perfect submission, perfect delight,
visions of rapture now burst on my sight;
angels descending bring from above
echoes of mercy, whispers of love.

praising my Savior all the day long;
this is my story, this is my song,
praising my Savior all the day long.
praising my Savior all the day long;
this is my story, this is my song,
praising my Savior all the day long.
Perfect submission, all is at rest;
I in my Savior am happy and blest,
watching and waiting, looking above,
filled with his goodness, lost in his love
I in my Savior am happy and blest,
watching and waiting, looking above,
filled with his goodness, lost in his love

Me too. That hymn was in my heart all day yesterday. The icing on the 'cake' happened this morning on my way to work when I turned the radio on that hynm was playing! I just had to bless the Lord.
DeleteAll is well, I'm happy in Jesus.

ReplyDeleteMe too! Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteWow, I remember this song from long ago: From 1985-1990 the church we attended at that time let us Africans and anyone who wanted to join us have our own service after their service, so between the two services we'd be in church for most of the Sunday. In this second service we'd sing songs with instruments and we sang a lot of hymns! Great song, and a good reminder to praise God always.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome.....sounds like good old times and warm memories.
