Singing I am...

Heard my mom singing and humming the words to a song we have not heard in a very long time, it just came and the words flowed.

The words to the song "I am so satisfied" ministered and reminded me of my satisfied state with Christ my redeemer, my savior, my best friend, my KING, my Daddy, my EVERYTHING......

I am....So Satisfied

I am Grateful

Greatness Defined

Sharing a brief quote from my lesson study reading this morning.  This spoke to me and I was compelled to share.

Matthew 18:1-4 At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”

Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them,   and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.  Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

" To define true greatness, Jesus called a child to stand before Him and said, “‘Whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven’” (vs. 4, NKJV). Jesus didn’t talk about being a great preacher, or a great businessman, or even a great philanthropist. Greatness, in the sight of God, is what we are inside, not what we do externally, though no doubt what’s inside will impact what we do externally.

Notice, Jesus defines greatness in a way that most people in the world don’t. After all, who wakes up one day and decides that the greatness he or she wants in life is to be as humble as a little child? It seems strange to us, to aspire to something like that, but this is only because we are so tainted by the world’s principles, ideas, and concepts."

Our perceptions are so skewed by worldly standards; May God help us me to realign our my thinking to His principles and standards.

State of the Nation

Don't know why there has been a block on writing lately. It's not like I don't have thoughts running through my mind. There has just been a pause in my spirit; nevertheless I am going to pick up the "pen" of inspiration once more, and press towards written thoughts once more.

This morning while doing my devotional reading in  II Chronicles, my thoughts drifted to the State of this Nation, who's founding fathers/leaders highly esteemed God, and His moral laws.  The evidence of God's morals and laws from the early 1700s through 1800s is evident in the words engraved in various monuments and memorials of powerful and influential men of Leadership from America's past history  are displayed around the U.S Capital...

There is no wonder the US flourished economically, and with relative security of its land and people over the years.  But I pause to reflect on current state of affairs.....

Is God's Morals and Laws currently being upheld/esteemed/regarded by current Leaders of Government?

Is God being acknowledged in any way?

Is God being consulted for decision making?

Here is link to II Chronicles 15  compare it to the events that occurred in 11 Chronicles 16

  1. What are the significant points of note from your perspective in chapter 15?
  2. What changed in Chapter 16? and what did you learn from this account?
  3. Is there hope for America?  If so, how is it possible? (Clue can be found in 11 Chronicles 7:14)

Satan Called a Convention

Satan called a worldwide convention of demons. In his opening address he said, "We can't keep Christians from going to church. We can't keep them from reading their Bibles and knowing the truth. We can't even keep them from forming an intimate relationship with their Savior. Once they gain that connection with Jesus, our power over them is broken. So let them go to their churches; let them have their covered dish dinners, but steal their time, so they don't have time to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ. This is what I want you to do," said the devil: "Distract them from gaining hold of their Savior and maintaining that vital connection throughout their day!"
"How shall we do this?" his demons shouted. "Keep them busy in the nonessentials of life and invent innumerable schemes to occupy their minds," he answered. "Tempt them to spend, spend, spend, and borrow, borrow, borrow. Persuade the wives to go to work for long hours and the husbands to work 6-7 days each week, 10-12 hours a day, so they can afford their empty lifestyles. Keep them from spending time with their children. As their families fragment, soon their homes will offer no escape from the pressures of work!"

"Over-stimulate their minds so that they cannot hear that still, small voice. Entice them to play the radio or cassette player whenever they drive. To keep the TV, [social media], CDs and their [Smart Phone] going constantly in their home and see to it that every store and restaurant in the world plays non-biblical music constantly. This will jam their minds and break that union with Christ. Fill the coffee tables with magazines and newspapers. Pound their minds with the news 24 hours a day. Invade their driving moments with billboards. Flood their mailboxes with junk mail, mail order catalogs, sweepstakes, and every kind of newsletter and promotional offering free products, services and false hopes."

"Give them Santa Claus to distract them from teaching their children the real meaning of Christmas. Give them an Easter bunny so they won't talk about his resurrection and power over sin and death. Even in their recreation, let them be excessive. Have them return from their recreation exhausted. Keep them too busy to go out in nature and reflect on God's creation. Send them to amusement parks, sporting events, plays, concerts, and movies instead. Keep them busy, busy, busy!"

"And when they meet for spiritual fellowship, involve them in gossip and small talk so that they leave with troubled consciences. Crowd their lives with so many good causes they have no time to seek power from Jesus. Soon they will be working in their own strength, sacrificing their health and family for the good of the cause. It will work! It will work!"

It was quite a plan! The demons went eagerly to their assignments causing Christians everywhere to get busier and more rushed, going here and there, having little time for their God or their families and friends. Having no time to tell others about the power of Jesus to change lives. I guess the question is, has the devil been successful at his scheme? You be the judge!
